Thank you for taking action, the spreading of information through the internet has proven to be effective in many social movements, so realism sometimes comes down to perspective. Keep up the good work! Frugal & Green Living Tips... http://gettingfrugal.blogspot.com/

I would think that there are many celebs that are sounding off for the sake of environmental awareness, but I also believe that there are many more who live life in a wasteful manner, not caring one bit about the resources they use up. These resource mongers do more harm than their counterparts do good. Stop it you resource mongers! Mark P. Green Nation Gardens

We'd like to respond to the previous Guestbook entry asking for our thoughts on Fergie's decision to auction off her emissions-spewing Hummer on ebay. (The Guestbook entry expressed concern that in an effort to green her own life, Fergie was simply passing on this emissions-spewing lifestyle to the bid winner.) So we checked out the listing on ebay, and here's what we learned (please pay special attention to the second sentence): "After performing at Live Earth and realizing everyone has a role to play in protecting the environment, Fergie decided to sell her HUMMER and donate all the proceeds to Global Green USA. Auction Cause is also donating carbon emission credits for 10 years to help offset the impact." The auction ended on September 15th with a winning bid of $64,199.91. By the way, Global Green USA is the same non-profit supported by Brad Pitt in its building of the first sustainable low-income housing community in New Orleans. To learn more, go to www.GlobalGreen.org and www.AuctionCause.com.
